Disc brake wear indicator

~1min read

When the pads are worn and need replacing, a squealing noise is heard from the front or rear brakes. This sound may be intermittent or may occur each time the brake pedal is pressed.

Note that certain climate or driving conditions may cause brake squeal when the brakes are first applied (or lightly applied). This is normal and does not indicate a brake problem.

NOTICE To avoid costly brake repairs, do not continue driving with worn brake pads.

NOTE

Always replace brake pads in pairs on the front axle and the rear axle.
