In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle

While driving
The ESC OFF mode should be used only briefly to help free the vehicle if it is stuck in snow or mud. It temporarily suspends ESC operation to allow wheel torque to be maintained.
To turn off ESC while driving, press the ESC OFF button while driving on a level road surface.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the drivetrain:
- Do not allow the wheel(s) of one axle to spin excessively. The ESC, ABS and parking brake warning lights may illuminate. Damage caused by this is not covered by the vehicle warranty. Reduce engine power and do not spin the wheel(s) excessively while these lights are on.
- When operating the vehicle on a dynamometer, make sure ESC is turned off (ESC OFF indicator illuminated).
Information
Turning off ESC does not affect ABS or the standard operation of the braking system.
