Indicator Light

~1min read
Hyundai i30. Indicator lights

When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the ESC indicator illuminates and then goes off if the ESC system is operating normally.

The ESC indicator flashes whenever ESC is operating.

If the ESC indicator remains on, your vehicle may have a malfunction in the ESC system. When this warning light comes on, we recommend that the vehicle be inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI service center as soon as possible.

The ESC OFF indicator illuminates when ESC is turned off using the button.

WARNING

When the ESC indicator is flashing, it indicates that ESC is active:

Drive slowly and NEVER attempt to accelerate quickly. NEVER turn ESC off while the ESC indicator is flashing, or you may lose control of the vehicle, resulting in an accident.

NOTICE

Driving with wheels and tires of different sizes may cause the ESC system to malfunction. Before replacing tires, make sure that all four tires and wheels are the same size. Never drive the vehicle with wheels and tires of different sizes installed.
