Description and Operation

Description

The multimedia jack on the upper console cover is for customers who like to listen to external portable music players, such as MP3 players, through the vehicle audio system when connected to this jack. This is an optional feature for the customer.

If the advanced music player connected to AUX is stored at a certain level, the audio unit does not receive power.

Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Remove the handle (B) by pulling it in the direction of the arrow after separating the dust covers (A) from the upper console cover.

  3. Remove the upper console cover (A).

  4. Disconnect the connector (A) from the upper console cover.

  5. Remove the multimedia jack (A) after releasing the fixed hooks.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
