Components and Component Location

Components

1. Electronic Module Connector
2. Output Speed Sensor
3. Input Speed Sensor
4. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor
5. Shift Solenoid Valve Connector (Indirect Control)
6. Shift Solenoid Valve Connector (Direct Control)

Description and Operation

Description

  • The sensor used is a thermistor (NTC), whose resistance changes with temperature.

  • When the TCM supplies power to the sensor, the sensor output value changes depending on the ATF temperature.

  • The transmission fluid temperature sensor is integrated into the E-module.

Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition off.

  2. Disconnect the main connector (A).

  3. Measure the resistance between terminal + (15) and terminal - (16).

  4. Make sure the resistance is within specification.
