Reifendruck prüfen
Check your tires at least once a month.
Prüfen Sie auch den Luftdruck des Ersatzreifens.
So prüfen Sie den Reifendruck
Check the tire pressure with an accurate gauge. A visual inspection is not sufficient to determine the correct tire pressure. Radial tires may look properly inflated even when the tire pressure is too low. Check the tire pressure when the tires are cold. Cold means the vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours or has covered no more than 1.6 km (1 mile).
Remove the valve cap. Press the tire pressure gauge firmly onto the valve to measure the pressure. If the cold tire pressure matches the value on the tire and loading information label, no further correction is required. If the tire pressure is too low, inflate the tire to the recommended value.
If the tire pressure is too high, press the valve pin in the center of the valve to release air. Check the tire pressure again with the gauge. Remember to reinstall the valve caps. They prevent dirt and moisture from entering and thus prevent leaks.
WARNING
- Check your tires regularly for proper air pressure as well as wear and damage. Always use a tire pressure gauge.
- Tires with either too high or too low tire pressure wear unevenly, which leads to poorer handling, loss of vehicle control and sudden tire failure, and could result in accidents, injuries or even death. Refer to this manual and the tire pressure label for the recommended cold tire pressure. The label is located on the driver's side center pillar (B-pillar), at the bottom.
- Worn tires can cause accidents. Replace tires that are worn, show uneven wear or are damaged.
- Remember to check the air pressure in your spare tire. Kia recommends checking the spare tire each time you check the tire pressure of the other tires on your vehicle.
