Description and Operation
Description
The electric WGT actuator is installed on the turbocharger and controls the waste gate valve (WGT) blade in the turbocharger, regulating the amount of compressed air by means of a PWM signal from the ECM. This actuator consists of a DC motor that drives the blade, a two-stage torque-increasing reduction gear, a position sensor that detects the blade position, and an electronic control unit that drives the DC motor.
