Drive Mode Select Switch
The Drive Mode Select switch on the Lexus GS L10 allows the driver to adjust the vehicle's driving characteristics to suit each situation. Whether Normal, Eco or Sport mode, each setting offers its own benefits in terms of efficiency or dynamics. This chapter describes the selectable modes for each model variant, supplemented by notes on automatic reset and the effect on steering, drivetrain and air conditioning. This allows drivers to tailor the Lexus GS to their needs.
The following drive modes can be selected depending on driving conditions.
GS350/GS200t (vehicles without Adaptive Variable Suspension)

- Normal mode.
For normal driving.
Press the switch to change to Normal mode while the vehicle is in Eco or Sport mode.

■ Automatic seat heater operation in Eco mode
Eco mode controls the heating operation and fan speed of the air conditioning system to improve fuel economy. When you select Eco mode with the Drive Mode Select switch in cold temperatures, the seat heater operates automatically to improve heating performance.
■ Automatic deactivation of Sport mode and Customized mode
If the engine switch is turned off after driving in Sport mode or Customized mode, the drive mode is switched to Normal mode.
■ Drive mode pop-up display (12.3-inch display only)
When the drive mode is changed, the selected drive mode is temporarily shown on the side display.
The Drive Mode Select switch on the Lexus GS 4th generation allows the driving characteristics to be adjusted individually to road and driving conditions. Whether Normal, Eco or Sport, each mode optimizes performance and comfort to the driver's preferences. The Sport modes in particular deliver a dynamic driving experience that underlines the character of the sport sedan.
With this feature, the Lexus GS GRL1 demonstrates its versatility and provides maximum driving enjoyment while maintaining high efficiency. The drive modes are intuitive to set and significantly enhance the vehicle's everyday usability.
FAQWhat is the benefit of Eco mode?
Eco mode optimizes fuel consumption and protects the environment through gentler throttle response and reduced air conditioning output.
When is SPORT S+ mode useful?
