- The GVW must not exceed the GVWR or GAWR specified on the FMVSS/NSVAC certification label.
- Do not load the front and rear axles up to the GAWR limit. The GVWR would then be exceeded.
WARNING
- Secure all luggage firmly with ropes or straps to prevent it from sliding or shifting. Do not stack luggage higher than the seatbacks. In a sudden stop or collision, unsecured luggage could cause injury.
- Be sure not to exceed the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) or the front and rear GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) when loading your vehicle. If you exceed these specifications, parts may break, tires may wear prematurely, and handling may be compromised to the point where you could lose control of your vehicle and be injured.
- Overloading can not only reduce the service life of the vehicle and tires, but it can also make the vehicle unsafe and increase braking distances. This may cause premature tire failure, which could result in a serious accident and injury. Failures caused by overloading are not covered by your vehicle warranty.
