For more information on brake fluid specifications, refer to the "Recommended Fuel, Lubricants and Capacities" section of the "Technical Data and Consumer Information" chapter in this manual.
WARNING
- Use only fresh fluid from a sealed container. Using used, low-quality or contaminated fluid could damage the brake system. Using inappropriate fluids can damage the brake system and compromise the vehicle's braking performance.
- Clean the filler cap before removing it.
- Brake fluids are toxic. Store them carefully in a clearly labeled container, out of the reach of children.
WARNING
Do not spill this fluid on painted surfaces. It will damage the paint.
If fluid is spilled, immediately clean the surface with water.

Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
If the fluid level is below the MIN mark or the brake warning light comes on, add genuine NISSAN Super Heavy Duty Brake Fluid or equivalent DOT 3 brake fluid up to the MAX mark. Have your vehicle's brake system checked by a NISSAN dealer if you need to add brake fluid frequently.
