Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the center section of the instrument panel (refer to Subsection 13.25).

3. Fully release the parking brake.

4. Disconnect the connector from the warning lamp switch.

5. Remove the nut and disconnect the adjusting bolt from the lever.

6. Count and record the number of threads exposed up to the nut before loosening it.

7. Remove the two bolts and remove the lever.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Install the lever in the reverse order of removal.

2. Turn the nut back the previously counted number of threads, check brake operation and adjust if necessary.

3. Before installing the panel, check the switch and warning lamp for proper operation.
