Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Unscrew the connection cable and busbar.

2. Remove the glow plug.

Warning After loosening, carefully remove the glow plug by hand, as the ceramic part is very fragile. Make sure the plug does not drop. If the plug has dropped, it must not be used again.

3. Check the glow plug for visible external damage.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Carefully screw in the glow plug by hand and tighten to 15–20 N·m.

Warning The tightening torque must not be exceeded, otherwise the glow plug core will be damaged and the plug will fail prematurely. Make sure no oil or fuel gets on the glow plug. For burnt tips, observe the recommendations.

2. Lightly tighten the busbar and electrical wire, first fitting the spring washer and gasket washer onto the glow plug.
