Description
The Ambient Air Temperature (ATS) sensor is installed on the interface module and measures the ambient temperature. The ECM receives not only the intake air temperature but also ambient air temperature information, which is used at the same time to accurately control the intake air amount through the turbocharger. The electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases as the temperature increases and increases as the temperature decreases. This sensor has a negative temperature coefficient (NTC), and its resistance is inversely proportional to temperature.
