Waveform

This example shows the typical Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) and Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) signals at idle. The PCM controls fuel injection and ignition timing using these signals. Generally, the CKPS signal is used to detect piston position, and the CMPS signal is used to detect the top dead center (TDC) of each cylinder.
