Towing Precautions
When hooking up the towed vehicle, observe the regulations established in your region. The wheels and axles must be in good condition. Otherwise, the vehicle should be towed on a dolly.

When towing with the front wheels lifted, release the parking brake.
When towing with the rear wheels lifted, on vehicles with a manual transmission, it is recommended to place a dolly under the rear wheels. If a dolly is not used, place the shift lever in neutral and turn the ignition key to the ACC position.
* When towing a vehicle without a dolly under the rear wheels, do not leave the ignition key in the LOCK position. Otherwise, the steering lock will be damaged.
When towing vehicles with an automatic transmission, place a dolly under the front wheels.
* Towing a vehicle with an automatic transmission without a dolly under the front wheels is strictly prohibited. Otherwise, the transmission will be damaged.

Towing with a lift truck is prohibited. Otherwise, the body may be damaged.

Emergency Towing
The arrow indicates the towing eye.
If service assistance is not available in your area, the vehicle can be towed a short distance using a tow strap attached to the towing eye at the front of the vehicle.
The driver must remain in the vehicle and steer it. Towing in this way is permitted only for short distances, at low speed, and on paved roads. The steering, brakes and chassis must be in fully serviceable condition. Before towing, move the selector lever to N (automatic transmission) or to neutral (manual transmission). The ignition key must be in the ACC position (if the engine is not running) or in the ON position (if the engine is running).
Before driving, release the center differential lock; the indicator lamp will illuminate.
