WARNING

If the vehicle is equipped with xenon headlamps, the xenon bulbs must be replaced in a workshop. A Volvo authorized workshop is recommended. Working on xenon bulbs requires special care due to the high voltage of the headlamp.

WARNING

The vehicle's electrical system must be in key position 0 when replacing a bulb, see Key Positions - Functions in Different Positions.

IMPORTANT

Never touch the glass of the bulbs directly with your fingers. Grease from your fingers will be vaporized by the heat and form a deposit on the reflector, which can be damaged as a result.

CAUTION

If a fault message continues to be displayed after replacing a defective bulb, it is recommended that you visit a Volvo authorized workshop.

CAUTION

Condensation may temporarily form on the inside of exterior lighting, e.g. headlamps, fog lamps and tail lights. This is a natural phenomenon for which the exterior lighting is designed. Condensation normally escapes from the lamp after it has been switched on for a while.
