Modo de conducción ecológica

El modo Eco Drive puede ayudar a que la conducción sea más eficiente y ecológica. Utilice este modo para ahorrar combustible y promover una conducción ecológica.

Cuando se activa el modo Eco, se modifican las siguientes características:

• Puntos de cambio de la transmisión automática.
• Control del motor y respuesta del pedal del acelerador.
• Eco Coast functionality is activated and engine braking is disabled when the accelerator pedal is released at speeds between 65 and 140 km/h.
• Algunos ajustes del sistema de climatización se reducirán o se desactivarán.
• The suspension's self-leveling function* will lower ground clearance to help reduce wind resistance.
• Information will be shown in the ECO gauge in the instrument panel to help promote more eco-friendly and economical driving.

Función Eco Coast: funcionamiento en punto muerto

Eco Coast essentially deactivates engine braking, allowing the vehicle's kinetic energy to be used to roll greater distances. When the driver releases the accelerator pedal, the transmission is automatically disengaged from the engine. Engine speed is reduced to idling speed to reduce fuel consumption.

This function is most effective in driving situations where the vehicle can roll freely for a long distance e.g. on roads with slight downgrades or when a decrease in speed is anticipated such as when approaching an area with a lower speed limit.

The function is activated when the accelerator pedal is fully released and the following conditions are met:

• Se activa el modo Eco Drive.
• The gear selector is in D.
• La velocidad del vehículo es de aproximadamente 65-140 km/h (40-87 mph).
• La pendiente descendente es inferior al 6 %.

Coast aparecerá en el cuadro de instrumentos cuando se utilice Eco Coast.

Restricciones

Eco Coast no está disponible si:

• El motor y/o la transmisión no están a temperaturas de funcionamiento normales.
• the gear selector is moved from D to manual shifting mode
• La velocidad del vehículo no está dentro del intervalo de 65-140 km/h (40-87 mph).
• La pendiente descendente es superior al 6 %.
• Las levas de cambio* se utilizan para el cambio manual.

Desactivación de Eco Coast

In certain situations, it may be advisable to deactivate or turn off Eco Coast so that engine braking can be used. These situations might include driving down steep hills or before passing another vehicle to help ensure this can be done as safely as possible.

Desactivar Eco Coast

• Pisar el pedal del acelerador o del freno.
• Mover el selector de marchas al modo manual.
• Usar el volante* para cambiar de marcha. Desactiva Eco Coast.
• Cambiar a otro modo de conducción*.
• desactivar el modo de conducción Eco en la vista de funciones.

It is possible to roll short distances even without Eco Coast in order to help conserve fuel. However, for the best fuel economy, Eco Coast should be activated and used to roll longer distances.

Control de crucero Eco Cruise

When cruise control is activated in the Eco drive mode, the vehicle's acceleration and deceleration will be slower than in other drive modes to help further conserve fuel. Because of this, the vehicle's actual speed may be slightly above or below the set speed.

• On a level road, the vehicle's actual speed may differ from the set speed when cruise control is active and the vehicle is coasting.
• On a steep uphill gradient, the vehicle's speed is reduced until the transmission downshifts. Reduced acceleration is then initiated in order to reach the set speed.

El indicador Eco muestra qué tan económica es la conducción actual:

• Una lectura baja en la zona verde del indicador significa conducción económica.
• Una lectura alta se muestra cuando la conducción no es económica, por ejemplo, con frenadas bruscas o aceleraciones rápidas.

Climatización Eco

En el modo Eco, la climatización ECO se activa automáticamente en el habitáculo para ayudar a reducir el consumo de energía.

NOTA

Cuando se activa el modo de conducción Eco, se reducen los ajustes de determinadas funciones del sistema de climatización y de otras funciones que consumen electricidad. Algunos de estos ajustes se pueden restablecer manualmente, pero la funcionalidad completa del sistema de climatización solo se recuperará desactivando el modo Eco o adaptando el modo de conducción Individual*.
