Conducción económica

Un estilo de conducción más económico puede ayudar a reducir el consumo de combustible.

Antes de sentarse al volante

• Si es posible, precalentar el vehículo antes de conducir.
• If preconditioning is not possible when it is cold outside, use seat and steering wheel heating first. Avoid heating the entire passenger compartment to reduce the amount of current being taken from the start battery.
• Evite usar el ralentí para calentar el vehículo antes de conducir.
• The type of tires and inflation pressure used could affect energy consumption – consult an authorized Volvo retailer for advice on suitable tires.
• Remove unnecessary items from the vehicle - the heavier the load, the higher the fuel consumption.

Al volante

• Active el modo de conducción Eco.
• Use gear selector position D as often as possible.
• When using manual gear shifting, drive using the highest possible gear. Use the gear indicator¹.
• Mantenga una velocidad constante y una distancia de seguridad generosa con el tráfico que le precede para minimizar el frenado. Utilice el freno motor siempre que sea posible.
• Higher speeds increase energy consumption because air resistance increases with speed.
• In a cold climate, reduce heating of the windshield/rear window, mirrors, seats and the steering wheel.
• Evite conducir con las ventanillas abiertas.
• No utilice el pedal del acelerador para mantener el vehículo parado en una pendiente ascendente. En su lugar, active la función de retención automática en parada.

Después de conducir

• Si es posible, aparque en un garaje con climatización.
