MPI/MPFI is a very complex injection system whose control unit also includes the electronic ignition system.

The control unit of the MPI/MPFI injection system is fully capable of diagnostics. This means that faults occurring during operation are recorded in the fault memory, which is erased only after the battery is disconnected.

A special feature is that the system stores even short-term malfunctions. Experience shows that these are exactly the faults that are extremely difficult to locate.

After 50 engine starts, a malfunction that occurred only once is erased from the diagnostic trouble code memory.
