MPFI only


If the idle speed control valve connector is disconnected within one and a half hours after the engine was last switched off, the fault "idle speed control valve faulty" is stored in the fault memory (which may be completely incorrect).

On this valve only the winding can be checked:

PROCEDURE

Disconnect the idle speed control valve connector.

Measure the resistance between valve terminals 1 and 4, and also 2 and 3, using a precision ohmmeter.

If the valve is good, the resistance should be 45—60 Ω respectively. Otherwise, the valve must be considered faulty.

Further checks cannot be performed with household means.

If the workshop replaces the valve, it must also perform the basic adjustment mentioned above.
