The airbag gas generator is subject to the regulations of the Explosives Act. Handling is permitted only for personnel familiar with the numerous safety requirements.


The following are especially important among the safety precautions:

PROCEDURE

When working on the airbag, always disconnect the battery.

Additionally, disconnect the plug connection under the steering column cover.

When interrupting work, never leave the airbag out of sight.

Place the airbag unit only with the energy-absorbing plate (pad) facing up.

Disconnect the battery when carrying out welding work on the vehicle.

After an accident, replace all system components.

Dispose of the vehicle only in accordance with regulations!
