The outer race of the wheel bearing is press-fitted into the housing, and the wheel hub is press-fitted into the inner race. Never drive a new wheel bearing into place with a hammer, or you will damage it during installation. Therefore, it is better to remove only the strut assembly, disconnect the brake disc and the cover. The actual removal and installation of the bearing should be left to a workshop that has a hydraulic press.
