Electrically adjustable mirrors: pull the mirror housing to the side.

Both mounting screws in the mirror base are now visible – remove them.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector directly at the mirror base.

Manually adjustable mirrors: remove the door trim panel.

Remove the front screws connecting the outer door panel to the housings; loosen the two rear screws only slightly.

Now the mirror drive can be pulled through between the panels.

Pull the mirror housing to the side and remove the mounting screws in the mirror base.

When installing, use the appropriate mounting holes in the door.

Driver's door: use the threaded hole at the front bottom (if there are two) and at the rear top.

Front passenger door: use the threaded hole at the front top and at the rear bottom and top.

Reinstall the window frame.

The free play of the manual rear view mirror drive can be adjusted by turning the adjusting screws with the knurled wheels removed.

Mirror Glass Replacement
Mirror glass in both electrically and manually adjustable mirrors is retained only by clips. Removal:

PROCEDURE

Wear work gloves in case the glass breaks.

Insert a wide spatula or plastic plate under the mirror glass from below and remove it from the clips.

If necessary, repeat the same operation from above.

When installing, insert the glass into the guides and press until it locks.

Wearing gloves, press on the center of the glass.

Mirror Drive Adjustment
The cables of the manually adjustable mirrors can be set so that the free play of the adjusting wheels is not excessive. A very small screwdriver is required for this.

PROCEDURE

Remove the knurled adjusting wheels of the outside rear view mirror mechanism by pulling them upward, using a screwdriver to assist if necessary.

Each drive direction (up/down; right/left) is controlled by two opposing screws. One has a left-hand thread, the other a right-hand thread.

Adjustment: carefully turn screw A1 to the right until slight resistance is felt.

Turn screw A2 to the left until slight resistance is felt.

Repeat the same procedure with bolts B1 and B2.

Check the adjustment: the mirror adjusts easily, but the free play remains at a maximum.

Note: if the outside mirror glass vibrates while driving, the adjusting mechanism is set too loose – tighten it further.

If the mirror adjustment is too easy, even slight contact with the sleeve against the knurled wheels changes the mirror position. In this case, set it slightly tighter.
