Break-in
Please follow the recommendations below to help extend the service life and ensure the economy of your vehicle.
Engine and rear axle final drive
Up to 2000 km (1,200 miles):
Engine speed and vehicle speed may vary, but their values must not exceed the following limits:
Vehicles with gasoline engines:
6-cylinder: 4500 rpm, 160 km/h
8-cylinder: 4500 rpm, 170 km/h
Vehicles with diesel engines:
3500 rpm, 150 km/h
Avoid pressing the accelerator pedal to the position corresponding to full throttle opening or maximum acceleration.
After the first 2000 km, you may gradually increase engine speed and vehicle speed.
The break-in rules must also be observed if the engine or rear axle final drive is replaced during later operation.
Tires
Tire manufacturing technology does not guarantee optimal traction of new tires on the road. Therefore, drive more carefully during the first 300 km.
Brake system
Optimal bedding-in and load acceptance of the brake pads and discs is achieved only after approximately 500 km of driving.
