Heating and ventilation systems

1 — air flow to the windshield and side windows
2 — air flow to the upper body (the wheels allow smooth opening and closing of the air flow, and the levers change the direction of the air flowing into the cabin)
3 — air flow to the feet in the front of the cabin (similar air outlets are also located in the rear of the cabin)
4 — temperature control for the driver's side

• upper body
• to the feet
(any intermediate positions are possible)
6 — air flow control (heating and ventilation operate when the blower is on)
7 — temperature control for the passenger's side

Temperature

The driver and front seat passenger can select the desired temperature for their side of the cabin. The scale graduations serve as a reference when selecting the cabin temperature. It is recommended to set the temperature to 22°C. After driving begins, the selected temperature is reached very quickly and maintained at a constant level.

Air distribution

You can direct the incoming air to the windows, to the upper body and to the feet. Any intermediate position can be set. If air is directed to the feet, a small amount of air also flows to the windows to prevent them from fogging. The "6 o'clock" position is recommended as the standard setting (see illustration).

Air flow

Air flow is infinitely adjustable. Heating and ventilation become more effective as the air flow increases. In position 0, the blower and heating are off. In position 0, the air flow can be completely stopped by pressing the recirculation mode switch.

Rear window defroster

When the rear window defroster is on, the indicator lamp illuminates. The rear window defroster switches off automatically.

Recirculation mode

If there are unpleasant odours in the outside air, you can stop it from entering the cabin. In this case, the system uses only the air already inside the cabin.

If your vehicle has a multifunction steering wheel with a recirculation button, you can also control this mode from the steering wheel (refer to the Controls and Instruments section).
If the windows fog up while recirculation mode is on, switch recirculation mode off.

Draft-free ventilation

You can adjust the airflow to the upper body as desired.
Turn the knurled wheels 1 to open and close the vents smoothly. The levers 2 allow you to change the direction of the airflow entering the cabin. Knurled wheel 3 allows you to add more or less cold air to the air supplied to the upper body.
Turn toward the blue marking - cooler
Turn toward the red marking - warmer

Adjust the vents in the rear of the cabin in the same way as described above. The supplied air is not heated.

Cabin Microfilter

The cabin microfilter traps dust particles and pollen contained in the outside air. It is replaced during scheduled maintenance. If airflow at maximum fan speed is noticeably reduced, the filter may need to be replaced early.

Quick Ventilation in Summer

1. Use the temperature controls to select a comfortable cabin temperature, for example 22°C.
2. Set the air distribution control to the position.
3. Turn the fan control fully to the right.
4. Open the air vents for the upper body.
5. Set knurled wheel 3 to the blue marking (cool), see above.

Quick Cabin Warm-Up in Winter

1. Use the temperature controls to select a comfortable cabin temperature, for example 22°C.
2. Set the air distribution control to the position.
3. Turn the fan control to the position for maximum airflow.
4. Close the rear cabin air vents.

Heating in Winter
If the windows are frozen or fogged, the following setting is recommended:

1. Use the temperature controls to select a comfortable temperature, for example 22°C.
2. Set the air distribution control to the position.
3. Turn the fan control to the position for medium airflow.
4. Close the rear cabin air vents.

Defrosting and Drying the Windows
1. Use the temperature controls to select a comfortable cabin temperature, for example 22°C.
2. Set the air distribution control to the position.
3. Turn the fan control fully to the right.
4. Close the rear cabin air vents.
5. To defrost the rear window, switch on the rear window defroster.
