Specifications
Fuel
Gasoline engines
Unleaded gasoline not lower than AI-95 (engines with catalytic converter).
Unleaded or leaded gasoline not lower than AI-95 (engines without catalytic converter).
Gasoline not lower than AI-91 may be used; however, engine output will be reduced and fuel consumption will increase.
Diesel engines
Automotive (not marine or boiler) summer or winter diesel fuel with a sulfur content not exceeding 0.5%. Do not use biodiesel fuel or rapeseed oil methyl ester.
Fuel preheating in the filter prevents fuel from thickening while the vehicle is in motion.
Do not use special additives to reduce fuel viscosity.
When the outside air temperature drops below -9°C, add kerosene to summer diesel fuel (in % of total volume).
| From -9 to -15°C | 10% |
| From -15 to -25°C | 30% |
| Below -25°C | 50% |
When the outside air temperature drops below -20°C, add a viscosity-reducing additive or kerosene to winter diesel fuel (in % of total volume).
| From -20 to -26°C | 10% |
| From -26 to -31°C | 30% |
| Below -31°C | 50% |
As an exception, up to 30% of low-octane gasoline (unleaded for vehicles with catalytic converter) may be added to diesel fuel.
Fuel Consumption, CO2 Emissions
Fuel consumption is determined by the standard test method (93/116/EC) and is not identical to average operating consumption, which depends on many different factors, in particular driving style, vehicle load, road condition, traffic density, traffic flow, weather, tire pressure, etc. Engine output or its share used for vehicle movement (in standard configuration) is measured under conditions defined by standards 80/1269 EC or DIN 70 020, which also specify permissible deviations. Some optional equipment (roof rack, wide-profile tires, additional mirrors, etc.) can significantly affect fuel consumption, since it generally changes the vehicle's mass and aerodynamic drag coefficient.

Vehicle Dimensions

Weight Data

If you use the specified permissible towing load when driving on roads with grades up to 12% and at the same time want to load the vehicle to the maximum permissible gross weight, it is recommended not to drive on grades exceeding 10%.
Performance Data

Tires and Wheels
For data, refer to the Specifications in the Maintenance and Service chapter.
* The required tire pressure is also indicated on the label on the driver's door pillar.
The specified pressure applies to cold tires. After a long trip, tire pressure increases by 0.2 - 0.4 bar. Keep this in mind and do not release air from the tires. Winter tire pressure is generally set 0.2 bar higher. When driving the vehicle with winter tires, the driving speed may be limited. The driver must be informed of this.
Wheel bolts for alloy wheels must not be used to mount steel wheels, and vice versa.
