Door Latch Lubrication and Seat Belt Inspection
Door Latch Lubrication
PROCEDURE
Lubricate the door latches at the striker pins, latch openings and adjacent surfaces with a general-purpose grease, such as "Optimol-Optitemp TT1".
Seat Belt Visual Inspection
Seat belts must be replaced immediately if any defects are found.
* Noise when the belts are tensioned is normal. If the noise is excessive, replace the belts. Never use oil or grease to eliminate noise. Do not disassemble the retractor, as the spring may come out. Risk of injury!
PROCEDURE
1. Fully extend the belt and check the webbing for damage. Damage may be caused by the belt being pinched or burned by a cigarette. In this case, replace the belt.
2. If the belt is abraded but the webbing is not damaged, the belt does not need to be replaced.

3. If the belt movement is stiff, check whether it is twisted. In this case, remove the center console trim.
4. If the automatic retractor does not operate, replace the belt.
5. Clean the belt only with soapy water. Never use solvents or any chemical cleaners for this purpose.
