Vehicles Sold in the USA: Obtaining Roadside Assistance

To help you if you have a vehicle breakdown, Ford Motor Company offers a complimentary roadside assistance program. This program is separate from the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

The service is available:

  • 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • For the period of coverage provided with your vehicle.

Roadside assistance includes:

  • Replacement of a flat tire with a good spare tire (except vehicles with a tire sealant and inflator kit).
  • Jump starting the battery.
  • Lockout assistance (replacement key cost is the customer's responsibility).
  • Fuel delivery is an independent service provided by contractors where not prohibited by state, local, or municipal law. Up to 2 gallons (8 L) of gasoline or 5 gallons (20 L) of diesel fuel is delivered to a disabled vehicle. Roadside Assistance limits fuel delivery service to two complimentary incidents within a 12-month period.
  • Winching is available within 100 feet (30 m) of a paved or graded road in good condition, without requiring repairs.
  • Towing is an independent service provided by contractors where not prohibited by state, local, or municipal law. Eligible Ford vehicles are towed to an authorized dealer within 35 miles (56 km) of the disablement location or the nearest authorized dealer. If a member requests towing to an authorized dealer more than 35 miles (56 km) from the disablement location, the member is responsible for any mileage cost exceeding 35 miles (56 km).
  • Roadside Assistance includes up to $200 for towing a trailer if it is disabled. An eligible vehicle requires service at the nearest authorized dealer. If the towing vehicle is operable but the trailer is not, the trailer is not eligible for any roadside services.

Vehicles Sold in the United States: Using Roadside Assistance

Keep your Roadside Assistance identification card in your wallet for quick reference. This card is included in the owner's guide kit.

Owners of vehicles in the United States who need roadside assistance should call 1-800-241-3673.

If you arrange roadside assistance for yourself, Ford Motor Company will reimburse a reasonable amount for towing to the nearest dealer within 35 miles (56 km). To obtain reimbursement information, U.S. customers call 1-800-241-3673. Customers must provide their original receipts.
