| Forward clutch (1,2,3,4) regulator valve stuck in the OFF position. | DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the forward clutch (1,2,3,4) regulator valve. If the orifice or valve is damaged, INSTALL a new main regulator valve body. REFER TO: Main Regulator Valve Body (307-01A Automatic Transmission - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35, Overhaul). | |
| VBS 1234, VBSC 1234 and C1234 | DISASSEMBLE and INSPECT the main control assembly and separator plate passages for debris/restriction. CLEAN as necessary. REFER TO: Main Regulator Valve Body (307-01A Automatic Transmission - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35, Overhaul). | |
| Forward (1,2,3,4) clutch main control to transmission case | REMOVE the main regulator valve body. REFER TO: Main Regulator Valve Body (307-01A Automatic Transmission - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35, Overhaul). INSPECT the seal between the main regulator valve body and the transmission case for missing or damaged seal. INSTALL a new seal. |

| Forward clutch (1,2,3,4) engages with delay/soft/slipping | Incorrect shift strategy programmed in PCM | Remove the SSA and record the solenoid ribbon number. REFER TO: Solenoid (307-01A Automatic Transmission - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35, Removal and Installation). Using the diagnostic tool, verify that the correct range number is stored in the PCM. If the range numbers do not match, replace the SSA with the correct range number. |
