Folding the Front Seats Flat

You can fold the front seatbacks down flush with the rear seat cushions to create a flat surface. To do so, follow these steps:

On certain vehicle variants

On vehicles equipped with a power-adjustable driver's seat, only the front passenger seat can be folded flat.

1. Slide the rear seats as far back as possible.

2. Remove the front head restraints and store them.

3. Slide the front seats as far forward as possible. Pull up the seatback recline adjustment lever and lower the seatback rearward until it is flush with the rear seat cushions.

On certain vehicle variants

A power-adjustable seatback cannot be lowered flush with the rear seat cushions. Do not try to force the seatback down.

4. Adjust the rear seatbacks to the desired position.

To return the front and rear seats to the upright position, repeat the procedure in reverse order. Before driving, reinstall the head restraints and make sure the seats are securely locked in the selected position.

Hold the seatback when returning it to the upright position.

When returning the seatback to the upright position, be sure to reinstall the rear seat head restraints.
