Active Head Restraints

The driver and front passenger seats are equipped with active head restraints. In the event of a severe rear-end impact, the torso of the driver or passenger wearing the seat belt presses firmly against the seatback, and the active head restraint automatically moves forward.
This reduces the distance between the head restraint and the occupant's head.
This helps protect the occupant from cervical spine injury in a rear-end collision.
After a collision, the active head restraints return to their normal position.
If the head restraint does not return to its normal position after a severe collision, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Honda dealer.
For the head restraints to perform their protective function properly, follow the recommendations below:
• Do not hang any objects on the head restraints or their posts.
• Do not place any objects between the occupant and the seatback.
• Make sure each head restraint is installed in its correct position.
• When replacement is necessary, use only genuine Honda head restraints.
