Replacing Headlight Bulbs
For Vehicles with Halogen Headlights
The headlights on your vehicle use halogen bulbs. When replacing a burned-out bulb, hold the new bulb only by its metal base. Do not touch the glass envelope with your fingers, and protect it from contact with hard objects. If fingerprints or grease get on the bulb glass, wipe it with a clean cloth dampened with alcohol.
Halogen bulbs become very hot during operation. Oil, dirt, or scratches on the bulb glass can cause the bulb to overheat and fail quickly.
