Connecting Air Conditioning Components

Before installation, inspect the new O-ring for damage and lubricate it with compressor oil. Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque.

The internal components of the air conditioning system remain chemically stable as long as clean, moisture-free refrigerant and lubricant are used. Even small amounts of dirt, moisture, or wet oil can disrupt the chemical stability of the system and impair or damage the air conditioning system.

PROCEDURE

1. Before disconnecting air conditioning components, prepare the tools and equipment for servicing the system so that the components remain disconnected for as short a time as possible.
2. When disconnecting air conditioning components, immediately cap the connections to prevent moisture from entering the system.
3. All spare air conditioning components and lines must be stored in sealed packaging.
4. Do not bend previously formed lines again.
5. All tools, refrigerant, manifold gauge set, measuring instruments, and lines must be stored in a dry, clean place.
