Charging the Air Conditioning System
The air conditioning system is charged through the low-pressure side with refrigerant in the gaseous state. When the refrigerant container is placed on the right side, the refrigerant will enter the system as vapor.
PROCEDURE

1. Connect the air conditioning service station as shown in the illustration.
2. Open the low-pressure valve and adjust it so that the low-pressure gauge reads no more than 412 kPa.
3. Place the refrigerant container in water heated to no more than 40 °C to keep the vapor pressure in the container slightly higher than the vapor pressure in the system.
4. Start the engine at fast idle and turn on the air conditioner.
Make sure to support the container stand to prevent liquid refrigerant from entering through the low-pressure side, as this may damage the air conditioning compressor.

5. Charge the system with the specified amount of refrigerant and close the discharge valve.
Refrigerant quantity: 575 – 625 g
