Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Remove the clutch hub and the A/C compressor pulley.
2. Install the protective tool onto the open compressor shaft hole.

3. Install the puller onto the compressor as shown in the illustration. Place the tip of the push screw into the recess of the shaft protective tool and tighten the puller screw.
4. While tightening the puller screw with a wrench, remove the coil from the front of the compressor.

Do not use pneumatic tools.

Installation

PROCEDURE

1. Clean the clutch coil.
2. Install the compressor vertically, shaft facing up, and install the clutch coil on the front side of the compressor. Make sure the coil electrical connector is positioned correctly.
3. Install the protective tool into the open end of the compressor shaft.
4. Install the coil press tool on the inner radius of the clutch coil.
5. Tighten the tool bolt with a wrench until the coil is seated.
6. Install the clutch hub and the air conditioning compressor pulley.
