A/C Compressor

1 – A/C compressor;
2 – Bolt, 20.4–30.6 N·m;
3 – A/C compressor pulley;
4 – Bolt, 17 N·m;
5 – A/C compressor bracket;
6 – Tensioner pulley;
7 – A/C compressor drive belt;
8 – Crankshaft pulley.

Removal and installation

PROCEDURE

1. Discharge the air conditioning system.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the magnetic clutch.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Loosen the tension and remove the A/C compressor drive belt.
5. If necessary, remove the bolts securing the front muffler.
6. Remove the discharge hose and the suction filter.

7. Remove the bolts securing the A/C compressor.
8. Remove the A/C compressor. Immediately cover all open ports and lines to prevent moisture from the air entering the air conditioning system.

9. Install in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

– Fill the compressor with fresh oil;
– Lubricate the O-rings with oil before installation;
– Do not lubricate the A/C compressor fitting nuts;
– Tighten the inlet and outlet hoses to the specified torque;
– Adjust the tension of the A/C compressor drive belt.
