Triple (Dual) Pressure Switch
The triple (dual) pressure switch is a combined switch for low pressure (to check the refrigerant quantity), medium pressure (to control the condenser fan) and high pressure (to prevent overheating).
The switch is installed on the discharge line. When the pressure drops to approximately 200 kPa or less, the condenser fan is switched off to prevent compressor overheating. When the pressure reaches 1400 kPa, the condenser fan is switched on to prevent the system pressure from rising further. When the pressure reaches 3214 kPa, the compressor is switched off.
Removal
PROCEDURE
1. Discharge the air conditioning system.
2. Disconnect the connector from the triple (dual) pressure switch.
3. Unscrew the triple (dual) pressure switch.
Installation
INSTALLATION
