Connecting the Pressure Gauges

1 – high-pressure side;
2 – high-pressure side;
3 – low pressure;
4 – high pressure;
5 – low-pressure side;
6 – low-pressure side.

The air conditioning system using R-134a has "quick-connect" adapter ports. Each adapter is a sleeve with an internal thread to prevent contamination of the system.

PROCEDURE

1. Close both valves on the manifold gauge set.
2. Connect the gauge adapters to the corresponding service ports.
3. Tighten the adapter hose nuts by hand.
