Economical Driving
Certain technical requirements must be observed for economical driving.
A properly tuned engine is a prerequisite for low fuel consumption.
For a longer vehicle service life and the most economical operation, have the vehicle serviced regularly by an authorized Hyundai dealer in accordance with the maintenance standards.

(1) Speed: Avoid rapid acceleration, sudden starts, and driving at maximum speed. These increase fuel consumption.
(2) Shifting: Shift gears only at the appropriate vehicle speed and engine speed.
Always use the highest possible gear.
Fuel consumption depends largely on driving habits, but other conditions also have an effect.
(3) Driving in a city: Frequent starting and stopping increases average fuel consumption. Use roads with a steady traffic flow whenever possible. When driving on congested roads, use a lower gear at higher engine speed.

(4) Engine idling: The engine consumes fuel even when idling. Avoid prolonged engine idling whenever possible.
(5) High speed: The higher the vehicle speed, the greater the fuel consumption. Avoid driving at full speed. Even a slight release of the accelerator pedal will save a significant amount of fuel.

Tire pressure gauge
(6) Tire inflation pressure: Check the tire pressure at regular intervals. Low tire pressure increases rolling resistance and fuel consumption. In addition, low tire pressure adversely affects tire wear and vehicle handling.

(7) Load: Do not load unnecessary items in the luggage compartment. Especially when driving in the city, where frequent starting and stopping is required, the increased vehicle weight has a strong effect on fuel consumption.
Also, do not carry unnecessary luggage on the roof. Increased air resistance causes higher fuel consumption.
Starting a Cold Engine
Starting a cold engine requires more fuel. Idling a hot engine also causes unnecessary fuel consumption. Start driving as soon as the engine starts.
