It is a good idea to carry a snow shovel or a short-handled shovel in the vehicle so that you can clear snow if you become stuck.

A small hand brush may also be useful for clearing snow from the windshield and rear window.

CAUTION (if equipped):

When driving in winter, white smoke may come out of the outlet of the fuel heater located in the front wheel arch on the driver's side. This is normal.

However, if thick black (or gray) smoke comes out, have the vehicle checked by an authorized Hyundai dealer.

If the engine stops while the fuel heater is operating, a hissing noise can be heard from under the battery in the engine compartment. This is caused by the purging process of the fuel heater and is normal.

Depending on the amount of fuel in the fuel line of the fuel heater, this takes 1 to 3 minutes.
