Waveform

This example shows a typical Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) and Camshaft Position Sensor (CMPS) waveform at idle. The PCM controls injection and ignition timing using these signals. Normally, the CKPS signal is used to determine piston position, and the CMPS signal is used to determine the top dead center of each cylinder.
