Description and Operation
Description
AVN system
The AVN system offers easy operation and is complemented by combined vehicle information display and user information functions for information search and ease of use.
The system basically consists of a control keypad with combined features, an LCD monitor, a main unit with Bluetooth hands-free system, voice recognition and navigation function, an audio amplifier for music applications, and a media unit that can be used to connect to other external devices.
Simplified User Interface: Multimedia and vehicle information are displayed on the monitor.
Integrated latest technologies:
Bluetooth Hands-Free System: This system complies with applicable international wireless communication standards and operates with Bluetooth technology, which is installed in most modern mobile phones. Once a connection is established, it connects automatically each time the driver gets into the vehicle.
USB connection option: External music players, such as USB flash drives or MP3 players, can be used to play music through the vehicle speakers.

Navigation System Limitations
GPS Signal Reception
Because GPS satellite signals are transmitted and received in straight lines, reception may be interrupted if the GPS antenna is blocked or when the vehicle is in the following locations:
Tunnel
Underground parking space
Under an underpass
Road in a wooded area
Area near high-rise buildings
Road in a tunnel
Vehicle Position Display
If interference occurs due to signal reflection or similar causes, the vehicle position mark on the navigation system may not match the actual vehicle position.
The vehicle position shown by the navigation system may deviate from the actual vehicle position when driving in the following locations or under the following conditions. In this case, drive the vehicle for a short time to allow the vehicle position to be updated again by comparing it with the map or GPS data. (In some cases this may take several minutes.)
When driving on a road shaped like the letter Y or on a road that branches at an angle, the current vehicle position may be displayed upside down.
If the vehicle is transported on a car carrier, the current position marker may show the last position before transport.
When driving on winding roads.
When driving in mountainous areas on roads with sharp curves, which may require sudden braking.
When leaving an underground parking space, a parking structure inside a building, or a multi-level parking garage where the vehicle was parked.
If the tires have recently been replaced (especially after using temporary spare tires or non-studded tires).
When the battery clamp has been removed.
When driving on city streets, the current position may be shown on the wrong side of the road or at a point off the road.
When the map scale is changed to the maximum zoom level, the current position may be shown on the wrong road.
In heavy traffic with frequent stops and many intersections.
When driving on slippery surfaces such as sand, snow, etc.
When driving with snow chains.
When using tires of an incorrect size.
If all 4 tires have different tire pressures.
If the spare tire is worn (especially studless tires used for more than 2 seasons, etc.).
When driving past tall buildings.
On a vehicle with a roof rack.
When driving at high speed or on long trips.
Route Guidance
Proper route guidance may not be performed depending on search conditions or driving position.
The system may recommend driving straight even when the vehicle is already on a straight road.
The navigation system may not give any guidance after turning at an intersection.
At certain intersections, the navigation system may not give guidance.
Guidance may direct you to areas you cannot enter (restricted-access zones, new construction streets, etc.).
The driver may be directed to a place that no longer matches the current destination if no roads leading to it exist or if the roads there are too narrow.
Incorrect route guidance may occur if the driver deviates from the set route (for example, turning at an intersection when driving straight was recommended).
If map data is missing or incorrect, route guidance may not be possible.
Recalculating the Route
The following phenomena may occur after the route is recalculated.
The driver may head to a destination other than the one currently set. Follow the guidance at intersections.
When driving at high speed, the route may be recalculated and take longer.
Route guidance may recommend a U-turn in a location where it is prohibited.
In some cases, the driver may not be guided away from a restricted area where entry is prohibited (restricted-access zone, construction site, etc.).
The driver may be directed to a place that no longer matches the current destination if no roads leading to it exist or if the roads there are too narrow.
Incorrect route guidance may occur if the driver deviates from the set route (for example, turning at an intersection when driving straight was recommended).
