repair procedures

expansion

[Diesel 1.6]

  1. Remove the manual transaxle.

D 1.6 NEW U TCI (Refer to Manual Transaxle – Manual Transaxle)

  2. Remove the bolts (A) and the concentric slave cylinder from the transaxle case.

Installation

[Diesel 1.6]

  • Install the concentric slave cylinder bolts (3 pcs). To prevent distortion or warping, tighten them in a crisscross pattern.

  • During assembly, make sure no foreign material can enter and no oil leaks.

  • Make sure the bearing and concentric slave cylinder are free of grease or oil.

(Noise/wear due to abnormal slip during operation)

  1. Install the concentric slave cylinder (A).

    Tightening torque: 19.6~26 N·m

  2. Install the manual transaxle.

D 1.6 NEW U TCI (Refer to Manual Transaxle – Manual Transaxle)

  3. After filling the brake fluid, perform the bleeding procedure on the concentric slave cylinder.

(Refer to Concentric Slave Cylinder - "Adjustment")

INSPECTION

[Diesel 1.6]

Bleeding procedure

  1. Remove the cap (A) of the concentric slave cylinder (CSC) and the hose. Install (B) on the CSC plug (C).

    1. Open the cap (A).

    2. Insert the hose (B).

  2. Squeeze the double clip of the CSC (A) and pull the connector (B) in the direction of the arrow.

  3. Slide it approximately 5 mm until you hear a click.

  4. Fill the vehicle reservoir with the specified fluid.

  5. Depress the clutch pedal (A) fully several times until no air bubbles remain in the hose.

(Add fluid to the reservoir as necessary.)

  6. After completing the bleeding, keep fully depressing the clutch pedal and push the connector (B) until you hear a click. Then return to the original position.

  7. Used to bleed the area between the clutch master cylinder (CMC) and the concentric slave cylinder (CSC). Hold the clutch pedal at the free-play position and press the double clip (B). In this case, the connector moves approximately 5 mm in the direction of the arrow.

8th.

Check for air bubbles by depressing the clutch pedal from the free position to the fully depressed position.

  1. After completing the bleeding, keep fully depressing the clutch pedal and push the connector (B) until you hear a click. Then return to the original position.

  2. If no air bubbles are found, disconnect the hose and close the cap (A).

※ When bleeding with the tool

  1. Remove the cap (A) of the concentric slave cylinder (CSC) and the hose. Install (B) on the CSC plug (C).

    1) Open the cap (A).

    2) Insert the hose (B).

  2. Squeeze the double clip of the CSC (A) and pull the connector (B) in the direction of the arrow.

  3. Slide it approximately 5 mm until you hear a click.

  4. Bleed using the tool.

  5. After completing the bleeding, keep fully depressing the clutch pedal and push the connector (B) until you hear a click. Then return to the original position.

In this case, the double clip cannot be used.
