The rear parking assist system helps the driver when reversing by emitting an audible signal if an object is detected within 47 in. (120 cm) of the vehicle. This system is a supplementary system and is not designed to replace the driver's due care and attention. The detection range and the size of objects detected by the rear sensors are limited.

When reversing, always pay as much attention to the area behind the vehicle as you would in a vehicle without rear parking assist.

WARNING The rear parking assist system should be regarded only as a supplementary function. The performance of the rear parking assist system may be affected by many factors (including environmental conditions). It is the responsibility of the driver to always check the area behind the vehicle before backing up.
