The laser sensor of the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) system is located at the upper part of the windshield near the rearview mirror.

Always keep the glass around the laser sensor clean to ensure proper operation of the Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) system.

WARNING

Because this laser may cause eye injury, always follow the instructions below:

  • Never disassemble the sensor.

  • A removed sensor will not meet the conditions of laser class 1M under IEC 60825-1, so it cannot be guaranteed that it will not damage the eye.

  • Do not look at the sensor using magnifying optical instruments such as magnifying glasses, lenses, or microscope lenses from a distance of less than 100 mm from the sensor.
