Forward Sensing Camera (FSC camera)
In this manual: Driving
~2min read
Your vehicle is equipped with a Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). The FSC camera is mounted near the inside rear-view mirror, and the following systems use it.
- High Beam Control System (HBC)
- Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)

The FSC camera monitors the conditions ahead of the vehicle during night driving and detects lane markings. The distance at which the FSC camera can detect objects varies depending on ambient conditions.
CAUTION
To ensure proper operation of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC), follow the recommendations below.
- Do not remove the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) housing.
- Do not place light-reflecting objects on the instrument panel.
- Do not place accessories, stickers or additional coatings on the windshield near the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). If any object, even a transparent sticker, is placed in front of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC), it will obstruct the camera and prevent the system from operating properly.
- Always keep the area of the windshield around the camera clean by removing dust and fog from its surface. To remove fog from the windshield, use the windshield defroster.
- When cleaning the windshield, do not allow glass cleaner or similar fluids to get onto the lens of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). Do not touch the lens of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) either.
- When cleaning the inside of the windshield around the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC), consult a qualified service center.
