I - PURPOSE

The system stops the engine quickly after the ignition is switched off.

II - DESCRIPTION

The system consists of:

  • a vacuum actuator (1) operating the throttle valve,
  • a throttle valve (2),
  • a solenoid valve (3),
  • a vacuum reserve (4).

III - OPERATION

When the ignition is switched off, the solenoid valve connects the vacuum reserve to the vacuum actuator.

The vacuum actuator is subjected to vacuum, which closes the throttle valve.

The engine can no longer draw in air, and it stops immediately.
