- Command AC029 "high-pressure circuit leak test" in the "fuel / LPG" tab also allows the leak flow rate of each injector to be checked, in order to identify an internal leak on one or more injectors. This test only works when the engine temperature is above 60 °C.
- Switch off the ignition.
- Disconnect the return hoses from the four injectors.
- Connect four transparent hoses with an internal diameter of 4 mm and a length of 50 cm in place of the return pipes.
- Place the end of each hose into four graduated measuring cylinders (or use the measuring tool supplied in the "blanked rail" kit).
- Start the engine.
- Run the engine at idle speed for 2 minutes.
- Activate command AC029 "high-pressure circuit leak test" in the "fuel / LPG" tab. The engine will automatically perform a cycle of four accelerations and decelerations to build pressure in the rail and check for internal leaks in the injector return circuit.
Once the cycle is complete, restart the test a second time to obtain a correct reading of each injector's flow rate.
At the end of both cycles, the flow rate of each injector must be 35 ml.
- Replace the faulty injector.
Do not leave any object (tool or other) on the side of the engine compartment during the four cycles (significant vibrations).
