Removal of decorative molding on models produced up to 07.1987 1 – decorative molding; 2 – nylon fishing line

Removal PROCEDURE 1. Heat the molding with a hot air gun. 2. Remove the molding by pulling nylon fishing line behind the molding. Installation PROCEDURE 1. Carefully remove the old adhesive layer from the body surface with gasoline, dry it and heat it with a hot air gun to a temperature of 35 °C. 2. Heat the new molding with a hot air gun to a temperature of 60 °C. 3. Remove the protective film from the molding. 4. Position the molding evenly on the body surface and press it firmly. Removal PROCEDURE Pry up the molding 1 with a screwdriver, placing a piece of insulating tape under it to avoid damaging the paint, and pull the spring clips 3 out of the push-in fasteners 2. Installation PROCEDURE 1. Install the molding 1 with the clips 3 into the push-in fasteners 2 on the body. 2. Press the clips 3 in by tapping them with the hand.
