PROCEDURE

Газовая пружина

Tailgate Gas Spring 1 – spring clip; 2 – washer; 3 – gas spring; 4 – ball stud; 5, 8 – spring washers; 6, 9 – washers; 7 – special bolt; 10 – cap

Removal Procedure 1. Open the tailgate. 2. Remove the rear panel trim. 3. Disconnect the hoses from the rear window washer nozzle. 4. Remove spring clip 1 and washer 2 from the upper end of the gas spring. 5. Remove gas spring 3 from the stud of bolt 7. 6. Disconnect the rear window defroster wires. 7. Unscrew the hinge-to-body bolts and remove the tailgate. 8. Unscrew the lock mounting bolts. 9. Remove the lock. 10. Remove the molding from the seal (if equipped). 11. Press the glass corner from the inside and remove the glass together with the seal. 12. Remove the seal from the glass. Installation Install the tailgate in the reverse order of removal.
